Not a lot of people know I even have two dogs as pets (since I always talk about how I want a cat in the future) but I’ve had these two rat-dogs for around 5 years now.
Last week we had a slight scare as one of them was looking really depressed and wasn’t his usual chipper self. He was also pretty damn swollen around his hips even though he wasn’t eating much. My dad’s parents had to put one of their dogs down because they had something wrong with their lung and they were acting the same as ours was. We freaked and ran them both to the vet, for their usual nail clipping time, and we were happily informed that they were both perfectly fine, healthy little dogs.
I hugged them so hard that day. (Then changed my clothes ‘cause they shead like mad)
Oh, and if anyone ever tells you that dogs can not be homosexual, tell them they are fools & inform them of my two lovely flaming gay dogs.

Now I’ve been replaying Fallout 3 for the past few days and I came to a rather shocking realization. When I first played it, I forgot to get Dogmeat (not to be confused with Dog Meat which is apparently delicious and will give you Rads) as a companion. This has to change! I always have this weird weak spot to pets in video games; Dogs, cats, birds, fish, rocks, it doesn’t matter. If I can have it as a pet, I want it, bad. Even though I *hate* having a companion as I always forget to heal them and before I know it they’re laying on the ground dead as anything.
To exsplain myself, when I first played Fallout 3 I only did the main quest as I wanted to get my Dad back (Liam Neeson <3) like it was everybodies business! Well times have changed and I’m off doing every single side quest I can. I feel like I owe it to Dogmeat, as In Fallout: New Vegas Boone, Rex and I ran around the wasteland kicking names and taking ass. Wait….thats not right…
Anyway, I promice that this time I *will* find you, Dogmeat and we will show that wasteland whos boss. (Ps: It’s us)

Just ‘cause I can here’s some pretty rad trivia about Dogmeat:
At level 22, a perk can be taken so that when Dogmeat dies, a puppy appears at the main door of vault 101. (Broken Steel only)
Dogmeat is modeled after the dog in Mad Max 2 (aka The Road Warrior). The main character Max, played by Mel Gibson, had a dog that wandered with him. Dogmeat is the same breed as Max’s dog, an Australian cattle dog.
